1. Enhancements to Marketing Automation’s CSV Campaign

The ongoing Marketing Automation UI and engine enhancements continue this month, as we apply the same updates announced last month to the CSV campaign option.
The new engine means your push notifications will be sent quicker than ever!
This will be available from Tuesday 24th September. As it’s a cockpit update there are no app updates required. If you don’t have Marketing Automation and would like to know more please reach out to our team via the cockpit.

2. Addition of emojis for Marketing Automation campaigns

To add to the recent UI changes made to the “Selected Clubs” campaign and the “CSV Upload”campaign options in Marketing Automation, we have now also added the ability to add emojis to your push notifications.
Bring your pushes to life by adding your favourite emojis! There are no updates required, this is available now!

3. Addition of emojis for Gamification

Our new emoji picker has been added the badge configuration of our Gamification feature. Bring a little life to all of the text fields for a badge aswell as the badge award notifications.

4. Book for linked members

The ability to book classes and activities for linked members is now available for our customers using Gladstone as their LMS. This means users no longer have to log out and back in again to make bookings for others.
Providing the logged in user has linked accounts, these will be shown in the app and can be selected when making a booking. Their linked member bookings can also be seen in “My Bookings”.
We will also honour the default member setting in Connect, in the app.

*LMS restrictions apply and specific versions of AWS are also required (4.16)

1. Segmented campaigns

Marketing Automation is undergoing a revamp and we have started with the “Selected Clubs” campaign option.
We have given the user interface a refresh with a new look and feel, giving you the ability to preview the message as you’re building it. The functionality will remain the same for now, but look out for our next update with a new feature for campaigns being added!
We’ve built this campaign type on a new engine which means your push messages will be sent quicker than ever!
This will be available from Monday 29th July. As it’s a cockpit update there are no app updates required. If you don’t have Marketing Automation and would like to know more please reach out to our team via the cockpit.

2. Staff login

The slide out menu in your app has the option of “Staff Login” we know this causes confusion for users and having listened to your feedback, have added the ability to hide this completely or re-configure the options displayed.
In the Account configuration of your cockpit, under Mobile App Settings you’ll find a new tab labelled “Staff Login”. Here you’ll see an option to toggle this off completely which will hide the item from the menu. Should this function be used you can now configure the login page instructions and labels in multiple languages from this section also.
Please note that an an app update may be required for this.

1. Gamification – Badges

Our latest feature is now available! We have built the concept of badges to engage, motivate and reward app users for behaviours completed within the app.

We have two options available for our customers, firstly Preset badges which we have created and be used straight away. Then we also have a customisable option which will allow you to create you own badges & apply your own branding. Badges can be created for various aspects of the app such as bookings, module opens, referring leads, scanning

check-in tiles at a centre, and much more – these will depend on the app modules that you have enabled.

On being awarded a badge a pop up will be displayed, and the beauty here is that you can configure these notifcations to happen at certain points when trying to achieve a badge. For example, a badge for making 100 bookings – motivate at half way through.

All badges can be viewed within a specific new module which can be added to any of your app screens. Here an app user will be able to filter on the badges including those they have started or completed.

For the third consecutive year, we are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Elevate., the UK’s largest trade show dedicated to physical activity, fitness, and sports therapy.

Places Leisure is a leading leisure centre operator with a mission to create active places and healthy people for communities to thrive. To enhance the member experience, Places Leisure needed a new app and decided to partner with myFitApp, the all-in-one member app solution.

“One of the main features that influenced our decision to move, was the intuitive myFitApp cockpit, which is easy to use and allows us to quickly make updates. In addition, the myFitApp cockpit provides a wealth of insightful data.” Keiron Butcher

Places Leisure worked closely with myFitApp to customise their member app according to their brand identity and unique requirements. The app is fully integrated with Places Leisure’s existing Leisure Management Software (LMS), allowing members to use the same login credentials associated with their membership.

Keiron added “Our customers can now enjoy the convenience of booking their favourite classes natively. This seamless integration pulls everything from our LMS, transforming it into an effortless process.” 

Their new app introduces a range of powerful features that revolutionises their member experience. Including enhanced marketing features, centre information, in-app local messaging and push notifications.  

New features enable members to easily book classes, receive real-time notifications, and engage in virtual fitness sessions via the free Virtual Studio.

The app utilises push notifications to deliver important updates, announcements, and reminders directly to members’ mobile devices. Whether it’s notifying members about upcoming events, promotions, or facility closures, push notifications ensure that members stay informed and engaged with Places Leisure’s offerings.

Through the app, they can effectively promote upcoming events, workshops, and special programs to members. By showcasing these opportunities within the app’s interface, members are more likely to discover and participate in these activities, fostering a sense of community engagement and participation.

1. Book for others

If you use Legend as your LMS, you will now be able to offer the ability to book ticketed classes, for guests and members of your contact group natively within your app. Previously, a web module within the app was required to make such bookings however now the Legend Class booking module can be used.
New configuration in Legend will be required and there are licences within the cockpit that will need to be enabled for ticketed and guests, and/or contact group bookings.

2. Monthly Active Users API

Following the addition of MAU data being added to the cockpit, we have gone a step further my introducing an API endpoint to pull the total MAU by month or for a range direct from the cockpit.
This will allow you to efficiently include this stat within your wider business reporting without the manual task.
